Description

Closed to motorized vehicles.

Trail winds through intermittent open, grassy areas and timbered areas intersecting with Trail #7 on the Idaho-Montana line. This is a popular area for horse packing/riding. No water is available along the trail.

Basic Directions

Access #1: From Coeur d’Alene, Idaho drive east on I-90 taking the Kingston Exit #43. After exiting, travel north on Forest Highway 9 (FH9) 23 miles to Forest Road #208 (FR208). Continue on FR208 6.1 miles to FR412. Follow FR412 for 6 miles to FR151. Follow FR151 4 miles to FR1503. Follow FR1503 3.1 miles to FR975. Follow FR975 5.2 miles to FR6514. Turn left and park near the gate. The trailhead is located 1.5 miles down the road on the right.

Access #2: From Wallace, Idaho travel north 16.3 miles over Dobson Pass on FR456 to the junction with FH9. Travel east 1.8 miles on FH9 to FR208. Follow Access #1.
