Description
Rattlesnake Campground is one of 5 campgrounds that lie along the Middle Fork of the Payette River, north of Garden Valley. Units have parking and can accommodate small to medium RV's up to a length of 35 feet. All units have tables, grills and fire pits. The campground has 2 handicap accessible camping units and a 20’ x 44’ Pavilion.
The area was covered by old growth Douglas-fir and ponderosa pine, but a large windstorm in 1988 took out most of the large old growth trees. The campground was reconstructed during the 2001 and 2002 seasons.
This campground has 11 units. Two vault toilets are located within the campground, one of which is handicap accessible.
This campground is on the fee system. Fee envelopes and collection boxes are located at the entrance to the campground.

This campground is part of the NRRS. The entire campground can be reserved as a group unit with a capacity of 100 people, and individual units are unavailable when the campground is reserved as a group site. Reserve this unit by calling NRRS at 1-877-444-6777 or visiting the website at www.reserveusa.com. Group reservations must be made 10 days in advance. This site is handicap accessible.

Rattlesnake Campground is located in southwestern Idaho 14 miles north of Garden Valley. Take National Forest Road 698 (NF-698) north from Garden Valley. Watch for recreation signs.
