Description

There are known to be a number of fossils in this area. From the parking lot you will cross the Earthquake scarp, travel up an old 2 track trail and turn left of the Birch Creek drainage. This part of the trail is through scattered timber and is easy to moderate in difficulty for about 2 miles . However, the last mile has sections of hand overhand extreme climbing through bare rock. This area will be enjoyed only by those desiring a good challenge.
