Coeur d'Alene - Boating
Coeur d'Alene is in close proximity to three lakes; Lake Coeur
d'Alene, of course, but also Hayden Lake and Lake Pend Oreille. At 65
miles long and with occasional water depths below a thousand feet,
Lake Pend Oreille is one of the deepest lakes worldwide. Coeur d'Alene
is a smaller, glacial lake high up (and closer to Coeur d'Alene). It's
30 miles wide and a very popular boating spot. Hayden is the smallest,
but with its golf clubs and sportsman's parks may have even more of a
resort feel. Boating of all kinds can be enjoyed on these lakes, if
the larger two lakes have more services: houseboats, fishing boats,
charter boats, romantic cruises, and boat rentals are all available.
