Craters Of The Moon, Idaho - Camping

RV Parks, Campgrounds, Cabins,...

Craters of the Moon offers 52 campsites available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The sites offer water from June to September, restrooms, charcoal grills, and picnic tables. Commercial campgrounds with hookups are available in Arco, 18 miles to the east. During winter months the monument campground is not plowed. Campsite fees are $10/night.

The area is a vast ocean of lava flows with scattered islands of cinder cones and sagebrush. The ancient landscape was created by huge volcanic events that seem like they could have happened yesterday.
