There are campgrounds at Deadwood Reservoir, but not along the river. Dispersed camping is available.

Please note that threatened bull trout inhabit these waters and must be released unharmed immediately if caught. Please read the Bull Trout Alert.
Basic Directions
The best, most accessible fishing is on the upper Deadwood River above the reservoir along Forest Roads 555 and 579 (Landmark-Stanley Road). FS Road 579 is accessible from Hwy. 55 north of Cascade (take Hwy. 22 to Warm Lake) or from Hwy. 21 west of Stanley.
