Description
William J. McConnell was an important figure in Moscow, known at one time as "the Merchant Prince," but he was more than an economic giant. He secured the University of Idaho for Moscow and was state governor. But the 1893 Depression took his fortune and almost took his memory. This Museum preserves the house, in all its Victorian Gothic, Queen Anne, and Eastlake glory (for the styles all blend), and also collects exhibits on local history.Hours:
