Three national scenic byways, the Ponderosa Pine, Salmon River and Sawtooth, converge in Stanley, cementing its reputation as one of the most beautiful towns in the state. Following the headwaters of the Salmon or meandering through lake country, these beautiful routes all offer spectacular views of craggy mountain ranges and a clear Idaho sky.

Salmon River Scenic Byway 161.7 miles (260 km) Allow 3.5 hours

Sawtooth Scenic Byway 115.7 miles (186 km) 3 hours to drive the entire byway, longer if you plan on stopping along the way.
