Edged by rugged mountains, quiet forest and expansive wilderness, the small town of Sun Valley is both scenic and in winter a snow-sports hot spot thanks to the local stretch of groomed vertical feet.
There is no access from Clark Fork at this time. There is no Right-of-Way at the trailhead on Spring Creek Road.
Closed to all motorized vehicles April 1 to November 15 except snowmobiles.
One of the most beautiful trails in northern Idaho, this trail has spectacular views of Lake Pend Oreille, Hope, Clark Fork and all the surrounding mountains and valleys. The trail follows the ridge traversing through many clearings and openings. Water is very limited along this trail, especially later in the summer.
Parking for horse trailers is best at Trestle Creek Road trailhead.
