Description

Welcome to Fishtail Ranch, in the beautiful Chama Valley of Northern New Mexico. We specialize in Fair Chase Hunts for Free Ranging Elk in Northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado.

Our private properties in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains offer some of the best Elk Hunting in North America. Outfitted hunts are also available in the Rio Grande National Forest of Southern Colorado. These wilderness hunts offer both Elk and Mule Deer opportunities well off the beaten path in our remote guided or drop camps.

In addition to the fall hunting scheule, we also offer several exciting horseback wilderness experiences throughout the summer. Enjoy the mild summer climate and breathtaking scenic views from horseback, or a comfortable chair in front of your tent in our remote tent camp. There will be several outdoor skills camps throughout the summer for both families and adults that are centered around various outdoor activities.
