Rugged, raw and strangely romantic, Idaho's Sawtooth National Recreation Area takes in over 750,000 acres of protected land rent with rivers and frequented by hikers, bikers and boaters.
This is a very scenic trail mixed with hiking through wooded areas and crossing meadow areas where during the spring and summer months many varieties of wildflowers can be found. The trail junctions with the Graham Creek Trail (#33) and Coal Creek Trail (#41) on its way to the trail’s end at Graham Mountain. Elevation – 5727 feet.

Basic Directions
Access #1: From Coeur d’Alene, Idaho travel east on I-90 taking Big Creek Exit #54. Travel west on Highway 10 (Frontage Road) to Montgomery Moon Ridge Road. Turn right onto Forest Road 946 (FR946) and travel north 10.4 miles to FR424. Turn left and follow FR424 for 1.3 miles to the trailhead. The trailhead is located .5 miles west of Moon Saddle on FR 620. Parking is available near the trail- head.
Access #2: From Wallace, Idaho travel west on I-90 taking Big Creek Exit #54. Follow Access #1.
