Description
The Grand Ronde starts in flows from the Elkhorn Range and the Wallowa Mountains through one of the deepest canyons in the United States (Hell's Canyon) where it meets up with the Snake River. A French word for "Great Roundabout," the curving Grand Ronde packs about 30 miles of river in 20 miles of land.
Along the way, you are likely to see a wide range of animals in their natural habitat, including deer, bighorn sheep, eagles, and otters. There is great fishing as well, which peaks during the fall and winter steelhead season.
