Situated lakeside, the town of Coeur d'Alene is at it's busiest when boaters and sun-bathers take to the shores, but there's also hiking and good golfing on offer, as well as easily accessible skiing in winter.
This trail combines the Pony Peak Trail #147 with Trail #151. When starting from the lower trailhead, you will pass through a timbered area until you reach Pony Peak and then follow a long, grassy ridge that offers a beautiful panoramic view of the area below. Sunset Peak is the site of an old abandoned lookout on top of a rocky ridge. No water is available along this trail.
