Description

Lake McDonald Lodge was built between 1913-1914, it is nestled on the shores of the largest lake in Glacier National Park. Lake McDonald Lodge has 100 guest rooms split between the lodge, cottages and a motor inn. The lodge offers a unique gift shop, camp store, lounge, fine dining restaurant, and pizzeria. Red bus tours, boat cruises and numerous other activities are available at this stunning lakeside setting.

The main lodge was declared a National Historic Landmark and listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 28, 1987.

Lake McDonald Lodge is a smoke free, three-story facility with designated outdoor smoking areas. The cottages and two-story motor inn is smoke free as well with designated outdoor smoking areas.

Check-in time is after 3:00 p.m and the checkout time is 11:00 a.m.

All rooms are rustic yet comfortable with double and/or twin beds and a private bathroom.

A limited number of ADA accessible rooms are available and are booked based upon space available. Only designated guide, service and/or hearing companion animals are allowed in the hotel.

Main Lodge rooms surround the lobby on the second and third floors and have varying views.

Large and Small Cottage rooms are located in duplex, tri-plex, four-plex and six-plex style buildings in the forested area between the Main Lodge and Motor Inn. Cottages are within walking distance to the Main Lodge.

Motor Inn rooms are tucked quaintly back in the trees near the Camp Store. This two-story motor inn is located about 200 yards walking distance from the Main Lodge with the 2nd level accessed via stairs only.

Groups, weddings and reunions are welcome with advance notice.

The self parking lot is located a short walk from the lodge and cottages. Motor Inn guests may park right in front of the inn.

Lake McDonald Lodge is located 10 miles inside Glacier National Park ''s west entrance on the Going-to-the-Sun Road.
