Description

Follow the whitewater of the McKenzie as you thread through massive, old forests of Douglas firs, waterfalls and long-cooled flows of lava.

Ranked one of the best trails in the United States, the McKenzie trail explores old growth forest, crystal clear rivers and pools, waterfalls, and lava flows. The McKenzie Trail is great thanks to its length, miles and miles of unbroken singletrack. No burning climbs, just a slight hill that makes a pleasant uphill and an amazing downhill.

The trailhead is located about 1.5 miles east of McKenzie Bridge on Hwy. 126. Look for a turnout and parking area behind a guardrail. There are 11 parking areas scattered along the length of the trail.
