Set either side of the meandering Snake River, the town of Idaho Falls serves as popular springboard for outdoor adventure, from white-water rafting to backcountry camping in nearby Yellowstone National Park.
The Payette River is made of two major branches flowing through the western Idaho wilderness, that only meet up about 50 miles from the Payette's junction with the Snake River.
