The South Fork Salmon is catch and release fishing only. Please note that threatened bull trout inhabit these waters and must be released unharmed immediately if caught. Please read the Bull Trout Alert.

South Fork Salmon campground (12 units) offer tent and trailer camping adjacent to Hwy. 22. There are walk-in campsites along FS Road 401. Dispersed camping is available in Stolle Meadows along the Upper South Fork. The Forest Service Stolle Meadows Gua

Basic Directions

The South Fork Salmon is a tributary of the Main Salmon River. Take Forest Highway 22 east from Cascade. Forest Road 474 provides access to the Upper South Fork and Stolle Meadows and Forest Road 401 provides access downstream (north).
