Description
Hiker will follow Bear Creek up a gentle, sloping climb through meadows and patches of aspen and fir to the divide. Scattered springs will increase the chances of spotting the occasional elk and deer and if the hiker will watch very closely, there may be an occasional coyote.

Trail Begins: 1/2 mile from Starhope Campground which is off Copper Basin Loop Road
Trail Ends: Intercepts Pot Creek Trail #176 on top of ridge to Sawtooth National Forest
Conveniences available: Drinking water, toilets, stock loading ramp and parking. Starhope campground is only 1/2 mile away for those wishing to remain in the area overnight.
