Climate
Bonners Ferry lies at the 49th parallel, quite far north, but its position relatively near the Pacific Ocean gives the cool area a moist climate. Winters can vary between Arctic cold spells and breezes in the 50s coming in from the west. The town receives a great deal of annual snowfall, and snow typically stays on the ground all winter. The area has 130 frost free days in the average year. Summers are warm but never hot.
