Airports
Several small airstrips provide access to the interior of the wilderness area. There is no regular service: a charter flight will cost $70 - $125.
The nearest commercial airport to the River of No Return Wilderness is in Boise, about 75 miles southwest of the area. Connecting flights can be made through Boise to many other western and national airports.

Basic Directions
The Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness Area is located in east central Idaho. Permanent roads are not permitted inside wilderness areas, but the boundaries of the area let a number of dirt roads make ingresses into the vast region. Access is convenient to nearly any central Idaho town, but Salmon, McCall, and Grangeville are the three closest towns of any size.
