Description
Hurst Creek is on the right side of Antelope Creek Trail. At the junction trail turns right and follows Hurst Creek. Scattered meadows, wet areas with fir, lodge pole pine, spruce and aspen greet the visitor in this lower section. However at the head of the canyon the terrain becomes rock and climbs much more steeply. The determined hiker will be rewarded, however, by the view on the top of the Iron Bog Basin Lakes and Fish Creek Summit. The drop down the other side leads to Iron Bog Trail. Elk and deer are known to inhabit this area.
